Dear Denver

Dear Denver:

“The supreme accomplishment is to blur the line between work and play.” -Arnold J. Toynbee

Just like you, we have to work for a living. We’re just lucky enough to love what we do.

Six nights a week, we leave our baggage at the door and throw a party with ridiculously good food, drink, and service on center stage. And like a great party, it can get a little loud and a little crowded. You’ll probably pick out a song you know on the playlist, and you might just make some new friends at one of our counters or community tables. And if you’re open to the experience—one that isn’t defined by white tablecloths or hushed voices, you’re going to have a heck of a good time.

People often ask us who we are and where Work & Class came from, and it boils down to this: we’re working class people who laid it all on the line to build a restaurant in four and a half shipping containers and run that restaurant the only way we know how: with soul. Our menu is defined not by dishes that gratify the chef, but that gratify the eater. Our cocktails aren’t complicated, but they taste delicious and hit the table fast. Our service isn’t perfect by Michelin standards, but it’s warm, efficient, and sincere.

Above all, we understand that restaurants are the stage for life’s adventures and milestones: first dates, last dates, catching up with old friends, respite from long days, birthdays, anniversaries, funerals, and those days that you’re just too tired to cook. Whatever your reason might be, we welcome you with open arms.

Come out to play, Denver. The night is still young.

Love,

Work & Class
